Covid-19 Procedure

To Our Valued Patients and Friends,

We appreciate your continued trust and patience with us at U District Family Dentistry as we have followed our states directives to remain closed for regular patient care over the past 8 weeks.

We are excited to share that as of May 27th we will be reopening the office to offer patients expanded services that help our patients address more than just emergency care, and obtain that much-needed restorative dental treatment that has been forced to be delayed.

Over the next week, we will be working diligently to prepare our office to open our hygiene and preventative services. Your family's routine cleaning and checkups are vital to your overall health.

We will continue to follow strict infection control and sterilization guideline and as our office reopens, we will be implementing additional safety procedures in order to keep our patients and our employee's as safe as possible and help reduce transmission of COVID-19. To help maintain social distancing and limit unnecessary contact between patients, we will be closely monitoring our schedule to reduce the number of patients in the office at any given time. We are also required to do the following:
  • Check temperatures of all patient's and family members entering the office
  • Have every patient and the accompanying family members fill out and sign a COVID-19 questionnaire.
  • Ask patients and family members to bring and wear a mask when entering and exiting the building.
  • Have patient's wash their hands at our handwashing station before their appointment.
  • Ask all family members remain in their cars unless accompanying younger children to their appointment.
  • Increase PPE (personal protective equipment such as masks, face shields, and gowns) worn by all employees, along with more advanced infection control procedures.
When you arrive for your appointment, we ask that you text us to let us know you are here- (206)747-9965 or call us at 206-545-7100 . Once all necessary pre appointment forms and processes have been addressed, patients will be greeted outside by one of our team members to take their temperature and will be escorted into the office when appointment time is ready.

Waiting rooms will be closed at this time. Please bring and wear a mask while entering and exiting the office.

We will try to see as many patients as possible over the next few weeks after reopening. Our scheduler will be working very hard to reach out and help find an appointment that works best for you and allows us to comply with the mandates we are required to follow in order to keep everyone safe.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation and we look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces as soon as possible!

Sincerelsy,
Dr. Nelson and Team
